2002 dodge caravan, I have changed the serpentine belt three times now and it keeps comeing off?

I am putting it on correctly and it's very tight. There must be something else causing it, any help would be greatly appreciated

Check your belt tensioner, the spring loaded pulley that you have to move to get the belt on. They get stiff and wont spring back enough. And its also very common for them to get worn out and sit crooked causing the belt to come off. I have replaced dozens of these on dodge vans.
If your correctly putting the belt onto it's route through the series of pulleys and it's tight then, it could be 2 things.

1) the surface of one of the pulleys is uneven, so it causes the belt to slip off. check for dips, ruts on the surface or debris sticking to the surface of all of the pulleys that the belt contacts.

or

2) the belt tensioner has lost some of it's strength and needs to be replaced. (it doesn't keep a constant tension on the belt, at all times)

another thing that I've encountered while changing the belt (on this system) is to get a socket (for the crankshaft pulley) with breaker bar and spin the crank around a little to be sure that the belt is seated properly in the grooves. If you just loosen the tensioner and slip the belt on you could misalign the belt and it may slip off. It's easy to do because there is so little room for you to work with.
belt tensioner should be replace same time about 30 bucks
If it keeps breaking off you may have it on too tight, or the tensioner pulley may need to be replaced
