How do i change serpentine belt on a 3.3LT v-6 motor?

actually a serpentine belt has its own tensioner. if you had a v-groove belt then you would loosen the alternator. you should see a pulley on a short spring loaded arm that you can get a Rather or end wrench on. the tensioner is gonna have a pretty tight spring in it, so you'll have to twist it away from the belt with a good amount of force to slack the belt enough to pop over and off of the alternator pulley (i say pull it off the alternator because that is typically the smallest pulley, but if you have a smaller idler pulley you could remove it there as well). if you forget the route that the belt was in originally, there should be a belt routing diagram somewhere under the hood, usually on the front right above the radiator.

the alternator should be attached to a bracket that you can adjust, slack the alt. off the belt should be loose now. pay close attention to the routing of the belt (draw a diagram) install new belt slide the alt. to add tension then tighten retaining bolt, when tightened correctly there should be one half to three quarters of inch play in the belt.

turn key .....varoom
should be a picture of how to under the hood an d you could also go to autozone.com and get picture.... really most are alot easier now days one tool most cases all one needs if thats a caravan adjuster will be left side just under front end easy ten minutes only a few type on all cars easy to spots which type your is and what wrench you need to hold tenioner while you remove an d replace belt but go to auto zone type in your cars info and look up how to
