Not being with this vehicle. look and make a drawing of how it came off.You will have to loosen something to loosen it enough to get it off.this might be the alternator, power steering pump. an idler or something that keeps the belt tight. You will see an elongated slot with a bolt through it and that will be it.You will need to loosen bolts at each end.

When you put the new belt on don't tighten it too tight, take your finger and push down on the belt, it should give about one half inch.

Sometimes you can go to a parts place and they will either replace it or show you how to do it.Good luck

This pontiac has an idler pulley you have to move this in and carefully remove the belt, this part is fairly simple. GET HELP to replace with new belt.
On some of the mid 90's 3.8 engines, you have to remove part of the engine mount to replace the belt.
just look at the little sticker under the hood ,,it tells you,,and shows you the diagram of how it goes back on,,and its a lot easier to follow it,,when your looking at it,,i own a repair shop,,and its hard to tell you without being there,,the sticker will do this providing it is still there,,good luck with it,,i hope it help,s.
its easy on the bottom left there is a pully it take a 3/8 drive turn it to the righ to lose the tennsionar on the belt then take the side on the altarnato then the fan and the a/c and thats it when puting back the new on start from the fan to a/c then alt. and then the pully.
