Chirping question on my 2004 infiniti i35?

i have a 2004 infiniti i35. whenever the rpms pass somewhere between 925 and 975, it makes a chirping noise. we sent it in for warranty repair at infiniti. they changed the serpentine belts, but the chirping sound still exists. does anyone have a similar problem or know what the problem is? thanks.

Take it to the Nissan Dealership and ask them. It's the same engine that's put in Maximas, Altimas, and many other Nissans. They have probably run across it before.



I have a g35 and have had nothing but problems with my Infiniti dealership. Our cross town Nissan dealership blows them out of the water, service wise. You don't get the free coffee that the Infiniti dealership gives out, but i'll take the alternative.

pop the hood and have someone listen at the engine while you gently rev the engine to recreate the sound and try to pinpoint it. could be a squeaky power steering pump, water pump, a/c compressor or evaporator
